We are committed to providing our customers with quality products, exceptional service, and a welcoming shopping experience.We are looking for a Front End Supervisor to help lead our front-end team and ensure our customers receive friendly, efficient, and accurate service. This is a hands-on leadership position that works closely with cashiers, courtesy clerks, and store management to keep the front end running smoothly.POSITION SUMMARYThe Front End Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the front end and providing direction and support to front-end employees. This position helps ensure accurate cash handling, proper register and opening and closing procedures, excellent customer service, appropriate staffing and coverage, and compliance with company policies and procedures.This is a hands-on leadership position. The Front End Supervisor is expected to work alongside the front-end team, assist customers, operate registers, and perform other front-end duties as needed.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESAdheres to all Company policies and procedures when operating the cash register and performing front-end duties.Oversees opening and closing procedures, including auditing the safe, ensuring equipment is in good working order, stocking checkstand areas, setting up daily schedules, and completing required audit sheets.Provides direction, training, and coaching to front-end employees regarding Company policies, department procedures, customer service, and job responsibilities.Counts, balances, and secures change drawers, the safe, assigned cash registers, and cash pickups and loans to cashier registers.Ensures cash, checks, and other customer payments are accurately processed and that proper change is provided when required.Monitors customer flow and staffing needs and directs employees as necessary to maintain appropriate coverage and efficient service.Responds to customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner and escalates issues to management when appropriate.Promotes a positive work environment based on teamwork, mutual respect, professionalism, and accountability.supports store management with employee scheduling, shift coverage, attendance, and other front-end operational needs.Ensures employees follow applicable safety, security, cash-handling, and Company policies and procedures.Performs front-end duties, including operating a register and assisting customers, when needed.Communicates front-end operational issues, staffing needs, and other concerns to store management.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.ATTENDANCE AND AVAILABILITYReliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.Weekend availability is an essential requirement of the Front End Supervisor position. The employee must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, as well as holidays and other days or times based on the operational needs of the store.Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled and communicate with management regarding any absence, tardiness, or requested schedule change in accordance with Company policy. | QUALIFICATIONSAt least 6 months of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.Previous retail, grocery, customer service, or cash-handling experience preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to provide direction, training, and constructive feedback to employees.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume customer environment while maintaining professionalism and positive customer service.Knowledge of front-end or store support procedures and policies.Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and respond appropriately to changing business needs.Strong mathematical and cash-handling skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, and management.Basic proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.Ability to understand and follow applicable safety, security, and regulatory requirements. | OTHER DUTIESThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position. The Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program is an immersive, hands-on experience that offers candidates the opportunity to rotate through each of our 11 store departments, gaining a deep and comprehensive understanding of operations, leadership, and customer service at every level.Participants will work side-by-side with experienced leaders and team members, learning the unique functions of each department, mastering day-to-day operations, and developing the skills necessary to successfully run a department or store in the future.Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for promotion to open roles such as Assistant Store Manage or Department Manager.
