Caramel Apple Bark





Serves 16 |
The yummiest of Fall treats.
Ingredients:
| 1 green apple, thinly sliced |
| 1 cup water |
| 2 tablespoons lemon juice |
| 3 dark chocolate bars, chopped, 4 oz. each |
| 1 tablespoon coconut oil |
| 1/2 cup crushed pretzels |
| 1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
| 1 cup baking caramels |
| 1/2 cup chocolate chips |
Directions:
- Pour the water and lemon juice into a bowl. Stir for a few seconds. Place the apple slices in the bowl and let to soak for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, transfer apples on a plate and set aside.
- Combine the dark chocolate pieces and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl and warm in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until smooth and creamy.
- Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. Pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment paper. Use a spatula to smooth out and spread evenly.
- In two separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the baking caramels and chocolate chips.
- Sprinkle the crushed pretzels and walnuts over the melted chocolate, then add the diced apples. Drizzle the melted caramel over the pretzels, walnuts, and apples. Then drizzle the melted chocolate chips over everything.
- Place the pan in the refrigerator. Chill for 1-2 hours, until the chocolate is completely set.
- Once firm, break into large pieces with your hands or use a knife to cut into squares. Enjoy!
