Cinnamon Sugar Fried Apples with Caramel Cream Cheese Dip





Serves 8 |
A delectably sweet treat that’s perfect for Autumn.
Ingredients:
| For the Apples: |
| 5 Pink Lady apples |
| 1 cup buttermilk |
| 1 cup sugar |
| 1 cup quick-mixing flour |
| Vegetable oil, for frying |
| 1/8 cup cinnamon |
| 1/2 cup sugar |
| For the Dip: |
| 8 oz cream cheese |
| 8 oz whipped topping |
| 1 cup caramel sauce |
Directions:
- Peel and slice apples into wedges.
- Spread the quick-mixing flour in a bowl.
- Pour the vegetable oil into a deep pan. Bring to medium-high heat.
- Combine the buttermilk and sugar in a medium size bowl. Dip the apple wedges into the buttermilk mixture.
- Place the apple wedges in the flour and coat all sides.
- Drop the coated apples into the oil and fry to golden brown. Flip and fry until golden brown.
- Transfer the apples to a paper towel line plate.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the apples while theyâ??re hot. Let cool.
- Thoroughly stir together the cream cheese and whipped topping in a bowl. Then stir in the caramel sauce.
- Serve the cinnamon sugar fried apples with the caramel cream cheese dip.
