Marinated Beef Shoulder Roast

Serves 8 | 

Savory, sweet and tangy in all the right ways.

Ingredients:

3 lb boneless beef shoulder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons steak sauce
2 teaspoons garlic salt

Directions:

  1. Use a mallet to tenderize beef roast.
  2. Mix together, vegetable oil, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, steak sauce and garlic salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Place roast in a baking dish. Pour marinade over top and place in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 250° F.
  5. Pour a small amount of olive oil into a skillet and bring to medium heat.
  6. Remove roast from the baking dish and discard marinade.
  7. Place the roast in the skillet and brown on all sides. Place roast back in the baking dish and place in the oven to cook for 60 minutes.
  8. Place roast on a cutting board. Loosely tent with aluminum foil. Let sit for 10 minutes before carving.
