Ham and Almond Stuffing





Serves 6 |
Spruce up your boxed stuffing with this amazing recipe.
Ingredients:
| 1 onion, chopped |
| 1/4 cup butter, melted |
| 1/2 lb ham, cooked and diced |
| 1 cup chicken stock |
| 1/4 cup almond slivers |
| 1 box premade stuffing |
| 1/2 cup apple cider |
| 1 tablespoon olive oil, for onions |
Directions:
- Pour olive oil into a skillet and bring to medium-low heat. Once hot, add onions. Cook until onions are caramelized, stirring frequently.
- Preheat oven to 325° F.
- Stir together apple cider, melted butter and chicken stock in a mixing bowl.
- Add stuffing to a separate mixing bowl. Pour butter mixture over stuffing, cover and toss well.
- Add ham, almond slivers and onions to the stuffing and toss together.
- Pour stuffing mixture into a baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
