Triple Chocolate Brownies

A chocolate lovers dream made real.

Ingredients:

1 stick unsalted butter
1 baking bar semisweet chocolate, chopped
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon espresso powder
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Cooking spray, for baking pan

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Coat a large baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Place butter and chocolate in a small saucepan, bring to low heat, stirring occasionally until melted. Remove saucepan from the heat, whisk in cocoa powder and set aside to cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla, and espresso powder until the mixture is pale and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  4. Whisk the melted chocolate into the egg mixture, mixing until thoroughly combined. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the mixture into the pan, transfer to the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Allow brownies to cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
