Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
· Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
· Maintain department sanitation and QA standards by cleaning and sanitizing all work surfaces, utensils and equipment. Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
· Greet all customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance.
· Properly bag customer’s orders safely and efficiently.
· Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to company policy, with priority attention given to refrigerated, perishable items, and sell by date.
· Must be knowledgeable in the various types of products carried in the store.
· Utilize and maintain equipment as required by department; report any equipment problems immediately.
· Adhere to all Federal, State and Local regulations that pertain to the Front-End operation.
· Dress according to company policy to include uniform, name badge and hat or hair restraint. Comply with QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food.
· Complete all applicable department training programs.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Possess the ability to handle high stress and volume of customers while maintaining a positive shopping experience for the customer
- Regular, dependable attendance is an essential function of this position. Shift schedules include 4-8 hours with scheduled breaks
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds between 5 inches and 40 inches above the ground, lifting heavier items is required occasionally
- Pushing and pulling carts is common throughout a typical day. Push and pull force required ranges from 45 pounds to 50 pounds
- Stand on hard surfaces continuously and transfer items horizontally
- In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
· Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Wear PPE consistent with the task assignment, including but not limited to non-slip, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and gloves (latex and or cut-resistant).
Work Hours: Availability requirements include; but are not limited to; days, evenings, weekends, & holidays.
