Loss Prevention Associate

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties

  • Detain shoplifters when necessary
  • Conduct store surveillance via CCTV and sales floor
  • Protect company’s assets by conducting internal and external investigations using data analytics
  • Identify shrink caused by fraud, theft, operational errors, and policy violations
  • Find innovative ways to utilize all resources within policy to solve problems
  • Document theft and other security violations
  • Produce and submit detailed reports supported by facts and evidence in a timely manner
  • Maintain a communication relationship with local law enforcement agencies
  • Inspect buildings, equipment and access points to determine security risk
  • Conduct daily audits (food safety walkthrough in all sub-departments) and identify source of discrepancy

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2 years of college courses related to position desirable, or the equivalent work experience.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skill and ability to communicate effectively with customers, other team members and leadership.
  • Knowledge of laws and Penal Codes related to the job preferred.
  • Experience with store analytics and exception reporting software in retail/grocery
  • Ability to multi-task and make good judgments under stressful situations
  • Basic PC and DVR knowledge
  • CCTV monitoring, internal and external theft, review and report documentations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands

· Standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, ability to carry/lift 65 lbs

· In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours

Work Hours: Availability requirements include; but are not limited to; days, evenings, weekends, & holidays.
