Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
- Promotes the goals of the Marketing Department. Works with the Marketing/Regional Managers to promote demo program.
- Must be enthusiastic and enjoy working with vendors and customers, providing outstanding customer service in all areas of the store.
- Collaborate with Marketing Manager to make a monthly demo plan using, specials, sales flyer, produce specials information, deli specials and recipes, seasonal themes, etc.
- Ensures a professionally operated and intelligent demo program using in-store resources while accepting complete responsibility for operation and results.
- Create weekly schedule for all stores product demonstrators • Builds relationships and works with vendors, brokers, CAP coordinator and in-store buyers to plan, coordinate and execute demos, arranging for billing while occasionally soliciting free supplies for education, community building, and special events.
- Works with department managers to stock demo items and record inventory. Prepares and distributes demo schedule.
- Monitors customer response and evaluates effectiveness of demo program by tracking product sales of demo items.
- Adheres to a general budget for each month of demos, including special event needs. Keeps a log of demo subjects, day sampled, weather, store traffic and external events.
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of demo areas as well as keeping the demo closet stocked with all supplies. • Promotions support: Assists in setting up aesthetically pleasing displays in the store for promotional items.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Verbal communication skills: good listening, gives clear instructions, ability to work in a public forum.
- Excellent written communications skills. Adept at spelling, grammar, and rules of composition.
- Prefer some knowledge of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, food allergies, etc. • Knowledge of or ability to learn about organic, natural and whole foods.
- Windows environment: Proficient in word-processing, spreadsheet applications (Word and Excel 2007 or higher).

Physical Demand
- Stand comfortably for up to 6 hours a day
- Work Hours: Availability requirements include; but are not limited to; days, evenings, weekends, & holidays.
- Work Location: One location
- Pay frequency: Every week
