Deep Fried Cheddar Cheese Bites





Serves 12 |
These terrifically tasty cheese bites won't last long!
Ingredients:
| 1 1/4 cups flour, divided |
| 1 lb. cubed cheddar cheese |
| 1 cup lager beer |
| Canola oil, for frying |
Directions:
- Place 1/4 cup of flour into a large, re-sealable plastic bag.
- Add cheese cubes, a couple of pieces at a time, to plastic bag; shake to coat. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or electric skillet until the temperature reaches 375 degrees F.
- While oil is heating, whisk remaining flour and beer together in a large bowl. Dip cheese cubes, a couple at a time, into batter and then fry until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels before serving.
