Homemade Red Velvet Popcorn

A delightful alternative when looking for something other than traditional sweets.
Ingredients:
22 oz white chocolate chips |
8 cups popcorn, (popped, 2 bags of microwave or 1/2 cup unpopped kernels) |
1 tablespoon shortening |
3 cups red velvet cake, (small bits) |
Directions:
- Pop popcorn, remove unpopped kernels and transfer to large bowl.
- Combine and melt shortening and white chocolate chips in a double boiler.
- Drizzle melted chocolate mixture over the top of the popcorn. Stir together until evenly coated.
- Add red velvet cake bits to bowl, stir until well mixed.
- Let chocolate set before serving.
