Serves 4 |

Lightly crispy, entirely delicious and oh so easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

4 pork shoulder steaks
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lager beer, 12 oz.
4 sprigs fresh oregano
1/2 tablespoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon cumin
Salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
Cooking oil, for frying

Directions:

  1. Combine olive oil, minced garlic, beer, oregano, paprika, garlic powder and cumin in a resealable bag. Place pork steaks in bag, seal shut, toss to coat and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  2. Remove pork steaks from bag. Discard marinade.
  3. Pour a small amount of cooking oil into a skillet. Swirl skillet to coat. Heat skillet on medium-high heat. Once skillet is hot and oil is bubbling, place pork steaks in the skillet. Cook pork steaks for 2 minutes per side. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook pork steaks for an additional 2 minutes per side.
  4. Remove pork steaks from skillet. Place pork steaks on a large plate to rest for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
