Pepper Encrusted Tuna Steaks

Serves 4 | 

Fine dining seafood at home!

Ingredients:

4 ahi tuna steaks, 6 oz. each
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon paprika
4 tablespoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 lemon, quartered

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the salt, cayenne pepper, coriander and paprika
  2. Place the tuna steaks on a large plate. Sprinkle the spice mixture on both sides of the tuna steaks. Sprinkle the black pepper over top and gently press the seasonings into the tuna steaks. Bring a large frying pan to over medium-high heat. Pour the olive oil into the pan. Place the tuna steaks into the pan and sear for about 2 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer the tuna steaks to serving plates. Garnish with a lemon wedge and enjoy!
