Simple Wagyu Top Sirloin

The easiest steak recipe, period.

Ingredients:

2 wagyu top sirloin, 8 oz. each
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Kosher salt, to taste
Fresh cracked pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Allow the wagyu top sirloin to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  3. Bring a cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat. Place the butter in the skillet and let it melt. Add the wagyu top sirloin. Season with a pinch of kosher salt and cracked pepper. Let it sear for 2 minutes, then flip. Season again with a pinch of kosher salt and cracked pepper.
  4. Transfer the skillet to the oven. Cook for 3 minutes for medium-rare or 4 minutes for medium.
  5. Remove the skillet from the oven. Transfer the wagyu top sirloin to serving plates. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
