Serves 2 |
A delicious steak dinner that’s ready in minutes.
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon salted butter
Ground black pepper, to taste
2 ribeye steaks, trimmed, 8 oz.
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon finely chopped oregano
2 cloves garlic, peeled and halved
Directions:
- Rub both sides of steak with garlic. Season generously with pepper. Coat each steak with 1/2 tablespoon of both olive oil and oregano. Wrap steak in plastic wrap and let marinate for 1 hour.
- Remove steaks from plastic wrap and season each steak with 1 teaspoon of kosher salt. Preheat skillet to medium-high heat. Add butter and remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot add steak. Cook steak for 2 minutes. Flip steak and squeeze lemon into the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. (Steak will be medium-rare at this point, cook longer for preferred doneness) Remove steaks from skillet and let rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
