Grilled Turkey & Tomato Sandwiches





Serves 2 |
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon minced red onion |
3 tablespoons sour cream |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard |
1/4 teaspoon thyme, dried |
4 teaspoon butter, softened |
4 slices sourdough bread |
6 slices honey-roasted smoked deli turkey breast |
4 slices tomato |
2 slices cheddar cheese |
Directions:
- In a bowl, combine minced onion, sour cream, mustard and thyme.
- Spread 1 teaspoon of butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of mustard mixture over the unbuttered side of each of 2 bread slices; top each with 3 turkey slices, 2 tomato slices and 1 slice of cheese. Top with 1 bread slice, buttered side facing up.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot then add the sandwiches. Cover and cook for 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Serve.
