Beef Bulgogi Bowls

Serves 4 | 

Delicious, wholesome and absolutely easy!

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup thinly sliced shallots
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons minced ginger
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 lb top sirloin steaks, cut into thin slices
3 cups cooked rice
1 cup kimchi, homemade or store-bought
4 fried eggs

Directions:

  1. Whisk together the chili garlic sauce, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, shallots, garlic and ginger in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Place the steak slices into the marinade. Toss to coat evenly. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  3. Pour the vegetable oil into a large pan and bring to high heat. Remove the steak strips from the marinade and place in the pan. Sear both side of the steak until cooked and transfer to a plate.
  4. Divide the rice among four serving bowls. Divide the beef bulgogi and kimchi among the four bowls. Top each with a fried egg and enjoy!
