Orange Beef and Broccoli





Serves 4 |
A sweet citrus twist to the classic dish.
Ingredients:
For the Orange Sriracha Mayo: |
1/4 cup mayonnaise |
1 teaspoon orange zest |
2 tablespoons orange juice |
1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce |
For the Beef and Broccoli: |
1 lb ground beef |
1 teaspoon grated ginger |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 tablespoons orange juice |
1/2 teaspoon orange zest |
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
2 tablespoons coconut aminos |
Salt, to taste |
Black pepper, to taste |
2 carrots, cut into matchsticks |
2 cups broccoli, chopped |
Directions:
- Combine the mayonnaise, orange zest, orange juice and Sriracha in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
- Bring a pan to. medium heat then add the ground beef. Cook for 3 minutes. Drain the liquid from the pan. Season the ground beef with ginger, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir together and cook until the ground beef is fully browned.
- add in the orange zest, juice, red pepper flakes, and coconut aminos. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Place the broccoli and carrots in a pot and steam for about 3 minutes, until tender.
- Pour the steamed vegetables into the pan and stir together. Spoon the beef and vegetables on to serving plates. Drizzle the orange Sriracha mayo over top and enjoy!
